The Weet-Bix Tryathlon Foundation has been established by Sanitarium staff to enable even more children to take part in the Weet-Bix Tryathlon. The Foundation does this by providing worthy nominees with a subsidy or complete funding of entry fees to the Weet-Bix Tryathlon event, or via the subsidy of necessary equipment.
The Foundation has the support of Olympic triathlon gold medalist and Weet-Bix Tryathlon supporter, Hamish Carter. The Foundation will help attract a wider audience to the series and work towards the overriding goal of inclusion.
Weet-Bix is hopeful this initiative will remind all children of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and getting involved.
Nominations for assistance from the Foundation for potential Weet-Bix Tryathlon participants between the ages of 7 and 15 will be accepted from a community group leader, teacher, other community member or third party, outside of the deserving child's family/guardians.
Nominations are now open and must be submitted at least 2 weeks before the event being applied for.
The Foundation is also accepting private donations towards this worthy cause.
