Aaron Barclay - National Ambassador

Aaron Barclay is a New Zealand triathlete and is currently studying to become a chiropractor in Auckland. After taking part in the Weet-Bix Tryathlon in Dunedin in 2002, Aaron was hooked and soon enough was a full time triathlete, with the goal of one day racing at the Olympic Games.

Maddie Dillon - National Ambassador

Since 2009, Maddie has been selected for 3 World Triathlon Championships in the U19 Elite category, in both Budapest, Beijing and Auckland.

Sophie Pascoe - National Ambassador

Sophie Pascoe has won 10 medals during her two Paralympic campaigns in 2008 and 2012. In 2008 Sophie was the youngest New Zealander to ever compete in the Paralympics, bringing home three gold medals and one silver. Sophie has recently returned from London with an additional three gold medals and three silver medals from her six events.

Temepara Bailey (nee George) Midcourt livewire TEMEPARA BAILEY was an integral part of the Silver Ferns since making her debut in 2000. The mother-of-two has played a key role in some of the Ferns’ most memorable victories including the world championship win in 2003 and two Commonwealth Games gold medal winning performances in 2006 and 2010. George was also instrumental in leading the Mystics to their maiden ANZ Championship grand final. Temepara has now retired from her netball duties & looks forward to starting her own netball academy and working with high performance players at netball centre’s as well as working with kids in ambassador roles.

At the age of 28, Valerie is, in the sport of shot put, the current Olympic Champion, current World Champion (triple World Champion, successfully defending the titles she won in 2007 and 2009), World Indoor Champion 2008 and 2012, and double Commonwealth Champion. Valerie’s inspiration and influence comes from her mother who passed away when Valerie was 15 years of age.

Anna Harrison - On The Day Ambassador

Anna Harrison made her debut for the Silver Fern in 2002. She went on to play 39 caps for the Ferns and was part of the teams that won the 2003 World Championships and 2006 Commonwealth Games Gold Medal. At the end of 2007 she left netball to play beach volleyball on the World circuit, where with partner Susan Blundell gained the highest ranking a New Zealand woman’s team has on the World Tour. She returned to netball in 2010 and now has over 70 caps for the Silver Ferns as well as a Commonwealth Games Gold Medal, Constellation Cup & World Series Fast5 title under her belt. Anna was the first player to attempt & perfect the Harrison Hoist!

Pero Cameron - On The Day Ambassador

Cameron has been a pivotal player for the Tall Blacks since making his debut in 1994, culminating with his selection in the All-Tournament Team at the 2002 FIBA World Championship as the Tall Blacks finished fourth and stunned the world.

There is no one better in Kiwi basketball at making the big shot, and with experience around the globe Cameron will provide guidance to his young team-mates.. Cameron has won ten New Zealand NBL titles and individually earned five Kiwi MVP awards.

He has also played professionally in Malaysia, England, Turkey, Iran and Australia. He has now entered coaching ranks and led the Wellington Saints to successive the NZBL championship titles.

For the last two years Pero has been the assistant coach of the Gold Coast Blaze and Assistant Coast of the NZ Tall Blacks. 2013 brings a new role as Head Coach of the Junior Tall Blacks.

Cameron Brown

Cameron Brown is one of New Zealand's most accomplished Ironman contestants. He has won the New Zealand Ironman Championship 10 times, the NZ half Ironman 8 times, and placed in the top 3 at the World Ironman Championships 4 times. He has also competed successfully in many other places around the world including Japan, Hawaii and Europe. He has two boys who participate in the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon.

"Seeing the kid's faces as they cross the finish line is a real buzz as I know what they're feeling inside. The Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is an event that challenges their bodies as well as their minds, and they get a great sense of accomplishment that can only help them achieve bigger and better things later on in their lives."
