What Do I Need To Bring?
Remember to pack and bring the following items with you:
- The items from your event kit - Official Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon T-Shirt & Official Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon Event label with your bib number.
- Your Eticket.
- Togs & Towel - It’s a good idea to come to the event with your togs already on so that you are ready to go.
- Bike- we recommend that you have this safety checked by the team at Avanti. Check here for your nearest participating Avanti store.
- Helmet – check that it fits correctly - helmet is to fit snugly under the chin, and two fingers should fit
under the chin strap. Helmets are compulsory for the bike leg.
- Shorts to cycle & run in (leggings aren’t such a good idea as it is hard to put them on when your legs are
a bit wet from the swim)
- Closed-in Running Shoes & socks. Shoes are compulsory for both the bike and run legs.
- Any medication you may need during the event
- A plastic box or similar to put your things in while they are in the Transition Area
- Some way of identifying your bike in the Transition Area – a flag or a something bright is a good idea.
- Drink bottle
- Sunscreen & Hat
- A jacket to make sure you're not cold at the end of the event.
- Pack a snack for the road; it might also be a good idea to ensure you have a small amount of cash on hand
should you wish to purchase any Weet-Bix merchandise at the event.
You will receive your swim cap on the day as you "check in" on your way to transition.
It is important to make sure all of your things are clearly labelled with your name and contact number so if it gets lost we can return it to you. Ask Mum, Dad or an adult to help you to label your bike, your shoes and all clothing and equipment.
You will also need to stick the event labels with your number on your bike (front of the handle bars) and helmet (on the front) So these are clearly visible on event day we suggest you stick these on a day or two before event day so they do not get wrecked.
