Individuals
Each individual participant will receive a Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon race shirt, swim cap
and race number, which includes three stickers (one for the front of the official
Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon race shirt, one for the front of the helmet and one for the
front of the bike bars).
Each participant will receive a Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon medal on completion of the event.
Teams
Tryathletes can complete the event as either a Team of two, or as a Team of three. In a Team of
three, each person will do one leg of the event. In a Team of two, one person will do two legs.
Each Team member has their own race number. For team swimmers especially, please write this
number on your arm and leg as this will assist our photographers with identifying you.
If you are a Team cyclist or a runner, your race number will be accompanied by a coloured sticker
indicating the legs of the event you have completed.
If you are doing the cycle only, your sticker will contain a 'C'.
If you are doing the run only, your sticker will contain an 'R'.
If you are doing both the cycle and the run legs, your race
number will contain two stickers with both letters.
Team swimmers will start their event at the swim start, and will be directed here by our Race
Director when your wave is called. Team cyclists and runners will be tagged by their team
members in the Transition Area. You will be directed here when your wave is called and assisted
by Marshals in the Transition Area.
All Team members receive a medal. After tagging the Team cyclist or runner, the Team swimmers
and cyclists, respectively, will be directed by our Transition Marshals out of the Transition Area as
they run through the Finish Chute to be awarded their medal. Team runners will run through the
Finish Chute at the end of their run, to collect their medal.
Schools and Groups
We also offer Group entry into the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon. Group entry is designed for
Community-based groups, for whom one person is taking charge of entries. The Group
section on our website enables one person to print out event consent forms, have these
signed off by Participants' guardians and enter the Participant on their behalf.
To take a look at our Group section, please click here.
We also have a Schools section on our
website. The Schools section enables the nominated Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon co-ordinator at a
school to review who has entered the event from their
particular school. This area also enables the Co-ordinator to print off consent forms, have
these signed-off by Pupils' guardians and enter the Participant on their behalf should a
Pupil be unable to enter themselves.
